Bilateral report
An accident statement completed and signed by both drivers involved. It is the preferred form because it records both versions in a single document.
Car rental
Vehicle hire by the day or week, with drivers who change constantly. The report in the browser avoids depending on the customer installing anything.
CIDE and ASCIDE agreements
Agreements between Spanish insurers to settle material damage directly between companies on the basis of the accident statement. Acciparte does not take part in them: it delivers the report the companies apply them with.
Circumstances
The 17 numbered boxes of the European form with which each driver describes their manoeuvre at the moment of impact. Explained one by one in the 17 circumstances.
Claim file
The unit that groups together all the information for a claim, created from the report, with a unique reference.
Claim file reference
A unique identifier that accompanies the claim file on the PDF, in emails and in communications with the workshop, loss adjuster and insurer. It contains no personal data.
Claim frequency
The number of claims per vehicle per year in a fleet. It varies widely by fleet type, from urban delivery to heavy logistics.
Data controller
Whoever decides why and how personal data is processed. In an Acciparte deployment it is the client who contracts: fleet, dealer, broker or insurer.
Data processor
Whoever processes personal data on behalf of the controller. Acciparte acts as processor for each client and signs the corresponding contract with them.
Downtime
The time a vehicle is off the road because of a claim. It depends on the time to notification, loss adjustment and entry into the workshop. It is the main cost of a claim for a fleet.
European Accident Statement
The European standard accident statement form that the drivers involved fill in and sign at the scene of the claim. It describes the circumstances, the sketch, the damage and the details of vehicles, drivers and insurers. It does not determine fault: the insurers do, based on it.
Excess
The part of the cost of a claim borne by the policyholder under their policy. A complete, signed report avoids later disputes about applying it.
FNOL (First Notice of Loss)
The first notice of a claim: the moment the insurer becomes aware of the accident. In motor insurance, the accident statement is usually the FNOL. Its quality determines the cost and timeline of everything that follows.
Free choice of workshop
The policyholder's right to decide where to repair. When a deployment offers a workshop or assistance, the driver sees at least two options and the option to choose none.
Insurance broker
Independent intermediary who advises the client, places the policy and accompanies them through the claim. In Acciparte deployments the broker remains the contact with the insurer.
Leasing
Long-term vehicle hire with services included. The vehicle belongs to the finance company and is driven by the lessee, who rarely knows its insurance links.
Loss assessor
Professional who assesses the vehicle damage on behalf of the insurer. They can attach their report against the claim file reference, with authorised, temporary access.
Material damage and personal injury
Material damage affects vehicles and property; personal injury affects people's health. The latter is assessed under the scale of Spanish Law 35/2015 and its data is a special category.
Other party
The other driver involved in the accident. In Acciparte they review and sign the report from their own phone, nothing to install, and their insurer receives the official document.
Other party's insurer
The company insuring the other vehicle involved. It receives the official report like the client's insurer and handles its side.
Police report
The report drawn up by officers when they attend an accident with injuries or serious disagreement. It does not replace the accident statement, but it can accompany it in the claim file.
Sketch
Drawing of the vehicles' positions at the moment of impact. In the digital report it is drawn on the vehicle outline and signed by both parties.
Special category of data
Health data and other categories under Article 9 of the GDPR. In Acciparte, they are isolated from the rest of the claim file and only circulate with explicit, case-by-case consent.
Statutory compensation scale
The legal system for valuing personal injury in traffic accidents (Law 35/2015). Acciparte does not apply it: valuation and negotiation are for insurers and professionals.
The claim's minute zero
The first few minutes after the accident, in which the information the rest of the chain will need is either captured or lost. This is the point where Acciparte positions itself.
Unilateral report
A claim declaration made by a single driver, where there is no other party (a collision with a fixed object), the other party cannot be identified, or does not cooperate. It still generates a claim file, with the version and evidence of whoever made it.
Vehicle QR identifier
Printed or digital code linked to a number plate which, when scanned, opens the report in the phone browser with the vehicle data preloaded. It holds no data: it identifies.
Witness
A person outside the vehicles involved who saw the accident. Their details are collected in the report and help when accounts differ.
